And no, I won't say "Doctor Lector" for you. Are any of you made to feel a little embarrassed of your accent? Do you notice yourself developing ideas about people based on how they talk? Some accents are considered nice sounding while others are undesirable. Either way they are part of who we are and where we come from.

i was born in new york and moved to myrtle beach SC when i was really little and picked up the accent, when i moved back to NY that accent was always what i heard about so i suppressed it to the point that i cant even mock it anymore
