This image explains all. It was like this for 2 hours. Most rain I have ever seen, and most wind, I again have ever seen.

I'm at that stage now. £4200 purchase, plus £1200 insurance would get me quite a reasonable car.....

I am a man. I just don't see the point in riding in terrible conditions. It'll harm the bike, and puts me at risk. My commute is dangerous enough, without adding hazardous weather into the mix!

As for me, the rain is surely uncomfortable but it is nothing I can't take. I also own the cage-black Toyota Corolla E11 hatchback, because 2nd car with driver is incredible advantage in the family.

So my conclusion is... if the above applies, and in your life you need to be somewhere at a certain time in a certain manner, and with a certain composure - get a car but keep the bike.
