I don't really think it can take an eye out if made correctly.What makes you say that? Personally I think anything that can fly loose and take an eye out should not be in a helmet.
I Used the noseguard and made a hole in it, and made sure it was a snug fit for the lense.
But today I used some hot glue to keep it in the right angle. and made sure it was hard to remove.
