Unkownax has sven's twitter and is trying to blackmail us to get access. He's also posted some personal details re: me on Svens twitter.

Ughhhh, this is annoying. Someone needs a life. I don't know what is so rewarding with vandalizing a forum/community.

Any idea who the guy really is ?

Why would anyone, let alone a complete outsider, do that ?

This is annoying. And has had effects far beyond what one could expect, especially on twitter. How could we put an end to this ridiculous nonsense ?

If you saw what he sent hughes111, he then said hughes111 would see it was real if he open an email, so I guess thats him trying to access some of our computers. So mainly admin I guess shouldnt open any emails that they don't know what it is.

Apparently unknownax has hacked m13 as well so it must be someone who hates all motovloggers, who do we know that's tried to vlog and fail epically, maybe it's them :)

Kawaboycafe dropped of Youtube a few days ago for no apparent reason , not that i'm saying that he is the bad guy but maybe his account got hacked too

Strange things happen on my macbook , Mackeeper just shut down itself and uninstalled the antivirus application.

Reinstalling and checking for infections ............

This suggestion may be extreme, but if the forum is at serious risk of being hacked again we could....
Hand admin of the site to someone trusted, and then not announce it publically- then the hacker has no-one to target

Then if we really desperate, close the site for a couple of days so he has nothing to hack.

He'd just wait. Remember, the site has already been down a couple of days and he's still here.

Don't get what this guy has against motovloggers. Bit scary that he can get hold of passwords so easily.

Hackers always get bored eventually. We will just have to put up with him till then and do our best to ignore him. Should only take a week or so at most.

Well I don't know about anyone else, but this is thoroughly pissing me off. This community is harmless, as is this forum. This selfish, malicious, ignorant arrested adolescent needs to find a better use of his time..

I'd also like to add that blackmailing motovloggers to gain access to this forum is incredibly harsh. If this continues my suggestion would be to take it up to the authorities. Just sayin'.

Well, considering that the guy's IP address (85.17.161.84) has a trace route back to a Leaseweb.com server in central Holland, the time of the activity is logged by the MotoVLog server, it's easy - drop an abuse line to LeaseWeb with the IP address and time of access, they investigate then ban his ass.

Seeing as how MotoVLog is managed in the States, you may as well pass the same information onto the FBI's cyber-crimes unit.

Leaseweb is a known proxy server though, that is used by many to do illegal stuff such as P2P downloads. I don't think they would give a damn about a small hacker doing its thing.

Which is why I said also pass the info onto the Cyber-Crimes unit - his last act classifies as blackmail, so he's now entered new territory.

BTW, there is no such thing as a small hacker. He's destroyed a database and accessed personal information. In the UK, that's a class 2 Computer Misuse Crime.

Actually scratch that, he's now utilised the information gained to commit a further crime (black-mail), which makes it a class 3. Unlimited fine and imprisonment.

[edit] Saying that, seeing that the 'payment' involved here is access to the MotoVLog server, I've a feeling that in the States that would also count as extortion (US legal definition). Out of professional interest, any US IT members confirm this?

If you google him you'll find he has a habit of hacking into random forums over lenth of time, we should defiantly report it though
