General The First Video I'm Proud Of!

I met up with some YouTubers and thought I'd try a music video. I quite like the results.

Good stuff!! I love the different camera angles and I started out putting my videos to music, it's fun isn't it! I still do it because my mic sucks but even when I get the audio dialed in I would still like to make the occational music video also

I am limited to music videos until I figure out my mic situation! I have the $5 mic Do it with Dan recommends in his tutorial (I wanted to start cheap) but now i am not sure if i should invest in a wind buffer/screen fur thing or a slightly better mic...ive tried just about everywhere in my helmet exept facing the mic hole towards the back of the helmet in my cheek pad and see if it still picks my voice up - i def do not want to cut the cheek pads on my new Shoei helmet though! lol

Ill get it figured out soon enough! but for now im gonna stick to the music videos and/or where i talk at slow speeds because after 15/20 mph there is too much wind noise to here much of anything

I went with the mic that bakerXderek recommends, which is again a $5 mic. I find it's the placement in the helmet that matters a lot more than the mic itself.

I think I'm too boring to do many "normal" motovlogs but the music videos take so long to edit, it's a difficult balance

Ya, the mic is much better now in the placement I found I am gonna mess around with it some more to try and get it 100% voice quality and no wind if possible.

I agree - I like when channels have a good mix and will try to make my channel this way - roughly 50% random ride chatter and observations videos / 20% classic topic vlogs or life story vlogs etc, 20% music videos (rides where I have the camera in the waterproof housing) and 10% other (non moto vids, camera setup, bike accessories and walk arounds etc etc)

EDIT: I just realized you said you think you are too boring for plain motovlogs - i thought u said it was boring when thats all a channel has lol whoops I wasn't agreeing that you are too boring lol
