The problem with the Internet is that, while it has made the world smaller and more 'connected', it has also made it blatantly obvious how incredibly dimwitted 'people' are. When it was difficult to publish your opinions to the world at large, we could safely assume that other than the village idiot, people on the whole were intelligent and rational beings. Now we know beyond any shadow of a doubt that this is SO very far from the truth!
