The aftermath of Mine and Footle's crash!

As you can see she is pretty wrecked! Was a hard crash, hurt alot, Audi's are not soft! DO NOT HIT THEM

We were on our way to the Wales meet! The ride had been lovely, taking it easy, cruising at about 40mph on a 50mph road, the weather conditions were pretty rubbish, road was covered in water! Not 100% sure what happened but, from what i can remember, we were traveling behind a Truck and an Audi, the truck didnt see a car turning and slammed on his breaks, the Audi then had to make an emergency stop, im not sure what happened from Footle's postion but from mine 1. i didnt want to hit him 2. i didnt want to hit the Audi, my bike gave way and i skidded into the back of the Audi, a big blow to my head and shoulder! we were very shaken, first thing i remember was looking for Footle to make sure he was okay, i had 3 people round me and so did Footle, the Vehicles involved were understanding and the Police and Paramedics were amazing! unfortunately the Truck carried on driving, luckily Mikesmotorbike had his camera rolling, hopefully we will get his plate!

As for the bike, no claims have been made against me (thank god) The audi driver was just thankful i was alive! i only had Third party stupidly so im not covered, im scraping the bike and selling the engine as it only has 6500 miles!

I will be back on a bike as soon as i can! More news will come soon.

As I said before, I'm just glad you're both alive. Any accident could end in disaster. I'm really glad this didn't.
 
wow, glad that you are ok. Just literally watched RiceCakes tribute video which was very hard to watch. Take it easy and I hope you both have a speedy recovery.
 
Dang that sucks. I hope your injuries and anyone elses heal quick. Is Mikesmotorbike going to post what he got of the accident anywhere or keep it under wraps? I'm kinda interested to see it with my own eyes.

Hope you get riding again soon!

Thankyou guys! We are fine, just bruised and hurt, still a bit shocked, im not sure, im okay with Mike putting it up but its up to Footle, we may have to wait till its been sent to Insurance and police!

I started watching Ricecakes video, i couldnt finish it, i broke down, hurts watching fellow bikers fall, we are a brotherhood, a family!
 
Glad your all ok lads. Unfortunately everybody is crashing recently :/ a youg rider recently passed away down here the other day :/ stay safe everbody.

Wow that is a real bummer. :( I'm glad you are alright. Really sucks you didn't have full insurance either. Gah...what a double whammy. Hope you get back to riding soon enough.

This was hard to hear when I found out about this. I'm just glad you guys are OK!!

I know everyone says bikes can be replaced etc blah, blah but it's true!!

It's a scunner when something like this happens but it could have been worse, I'm glad you guys are fine :)
 
Cheers everyone, i really dont know what to do.

I went on the Yamaha forum and had load of people say not to scrap it for £200, its worth about £800 because of only 6500 miles, i get £1000 next month from the government for being in Higher Education at a young age so that with the supposed £800 my mum had agreed to let me get a larger bike restricted to 33bhp, the bike has no accident category so its completely fixable, i just dont have the time nor money to fix it + i think getting on that same bike wont be the same. from here it looks like Charlotte is going, but i will need a new name for the next bike, i think i know what i am getting, my insurance has told me that it will not be affected by this crash so im VERY LUCKY!

i was going to suggest maybe a street fighter untill you can get a new bike then sell the r125 street fighter

What is the ricecake video people are talking about I haven't seen it and I don't know what it is it would be great if someone could send me a link thanks in advance
