When I was younger I would ride as a passenger. My dad always told me to lightly lean into the turn, but not too much. Don't throw your weight around. Let the rider lead the passenger. Always have your arms (no matter the gender) around the rider. That way two become one. I always cringe when I see a passenger that does not hold onto the rider.
