The worst thing is the Police didn't prosecute him and he even got to keep his taxi permit!

WTF?

How can there not be sufficient evidence? Whatever happened off camera or before, he got out of his car and attempted to collapse the female bikers face with a headbutt.

Sometimes we're told headbutts are totally unacceptable in any circumstance, but then apparently you're allowed to headbutt a girl in some circumstances?!

I'd be finding a new solicitor for this one...

Couple of things spring to mind. Local press, get this picked up, if it hasn't been already in the newspapers if they have a decent local rag, and harder - but local television.

Consier civil litigation, even if it's just county court for damage caused against the bike, even if that is just i.e a new indicator.

Get a solicitor involved, and they approach the councils licensing bods, armed with a CCJ even, and attempt to get licence revoked.

However, what we don't have is the motorcyclists point of view - they might not want to take any action.

What an idiot! Only in the UK (the land of the headbutt) would we see something like that on film.

Reminds me of an incident many years ago involving two Australian drivers during a touring car race.

You are never going to win coming up against a helmet!

despite what you'd think it's actually sometimes easier to hurt someone who is wearing a helmet, just have to know how. But I will admit, headbutting someone in a skid lid is pretty dumb

Sry, but I'm calling your bluff.

How exactly... :|

I guess it's easier to grab for a head control - other than that not many ways you're going to get hurt.

I've trained elbow strikes and headbutts in helmets with the visors duct-taped closed. It's good. :)

Grab the chin bar and pull to the side quickly.

exactly, not that I'm encouraging it but if you grab someones chin guard and pull (or shake) it violently you could really mess their neck up. If you really go at it you could probably break it.

Now as there has been no warning to not try it at home, I'm off to test your theories, if you don't hear from me again... You were right ;)

But bear in mind I was in a neck brace for three months after fracturing the base of my skull, the bit that sits on my spine... I may not be the best control subject

haha yeah, probably not the best test subject :P just find the first person to cut you up then threaten you and say "look, wear my lid, I wouldn't want to hurt you too badly if you swing for me first". That's two birds with one stone :D

honestly though, don't try this at home

Yebbut I could also show you how to break someones neck (without a helmet on) as they're standing facing you.

And if someone grabs you like that anywhere it gives you a great leverage point to snap their wrist or arm.

Gotta say I'd still wear a helmet for a fight, if I got the choice. ;)

If anyone grabs your chinbar and you don't instantly do a sweep then you deserve to have your head shook. I would like to test this out in a real situation. I'm predicting that the assailant would get a broken wrist/arm or at least few fingers broken if he didn't let go. Just like when someone grabs your facemask in football.(American Football that is) People with broken fingers have a hard time holding things or fighting.

LOL!

Weirdly for a Brit, I used to play US Football and so I've seen the funny angles facemasking fouls can leave your fingers at! I still have a very vivid memory of a teammate screaming as he popped each of his twisted fingers back into their sockets on one hand.

Bloody line men.

I was going to suggest licking their fingers, but maybe thats not the best approach? I still think they would let go.
