Tascam Dr-05

Got my first piece to vlog. A tascam dr-05 external recorder. Just got it tonight so I will test it out tomorrow as I work on my bike. Maybe I'll make some videos of me putting my bike back together.

Unfortunately I was only able to afford a Sony ecm mic. I also need to make or find a windscreen to go over the mic.

I have a Tascam as well with a Sony mic. There are some motovloggers that make there own deadcats for the mic. Since I have a fairing, I have not needed one.

I did give up on the dedicated audio for now since my editing software is a bit bothersome when syncing. It tends to freeze. So I ended up with a mic adapter for one helmet.

I am hoping to get a better program but have a couple of other things I need to address first.

Running the GoPro studio on Alienware M17xR1. SSD drive.

At the moment I use a very cheap 'brandless' mic < € 10 in my helmet. I had to play a bit with the best position in the helmet but in my opinion the audio is very good.

For editting I use Sony Vegas pro 13. Lots of toturials on youtube so you can improve your skills fast.
