If only he had something to protect his head

I experienced this same dilemma recently and settled on a tank bag that would double as a tail bag. Picked up one similar to this on Craigslist for $70 cdn.

Hi all,

So I have little or no storage space on my bike and I am thinking about either just using a rucksack or getting a tail bag.

Which would you recommend?

Cheers.
Tail packs are more comfortable and easy to get stuff in and out of. Depends if you need to take stuff away from bike.

I ride with an Oxford 38L Tankbag. Used to ride with a backpack, but it got uncomfortable. Tankbag is convenient, Wallet goes in there, Clothes, lunch tin. Phone goes in the jacket pocket.

Usually backpack for commute to shops, work etc. but tail bag for a long trip. However with the tail bag, getting my leg over becomes an issue and have to do a hop with my leg extended to get on the bike.
