Sunny Bear 2018 Discussion Thread

WOWZERS, @R-Rated has set the bar high on props, enthusiasm and creepy kissing on his latest vid. That is so far the highest scoring entry, although there have been others by others just one point lower! :D

I'm "fortunate" to live in a small town @Theodor :D
Ahh the motovlogger gremlins @lupin hope you can get it sorted out!

So out of all those who have entered, @lupin has the highest scoring "U" round so far! :-)

Two really interesting "N for Navigate" vids there, well done @Theodor for just managing to stay within the timeframe and @Undead MV for getting the highest possible "public place" score for getting it done at a tourist spot in a major city! (shame you didn't get the full 3 circles of your bike done though ;-)

Really? damn, i thought i made 3 circles! well it's caught on tape, so... you're right... i only made 2... :(

I'm just going to do what I've been doing by giving the odd tip on what gets more points. I wrote down a scoring criteria before anyone posted any videos and I've been going by that quite strictly so everyone gets a consistent score. I don't really want to show my full list but will, like I say mention tips on improving the score as I have been doing. I'll also not post the standings either until we get to the end. I am sure you are all secretly judging each entry yourselves, so if we get to a tie-break at the end then we can run a vote on overall winner! :-)

I see things like this somewhere between playing a card game and a school science fair.

One approach can be wait for others to show their hand and then craft; or the other approach is the concept of what is to be created in the motovlogger's mind so they go ahead and make that vision come true then see if it gets recognized.

The problem with the first approach is everyone waits then when it comes drafting and editing R some folks may not make it in time or just use highlights from a person's earlier entry when the later ones may be more noteworthy.

I did not believe I could possibly cut so much off, to make it fit in the timeframe. I was sure I have to leave one or two visited spots out, but somehow it all came together, after the 5'th trimming. The first edit was some 7 minutes longer though.
I know that feeling, i had to cut at least 2 great spots, even in one I capture a street fight between two drivers
