Hi, without knowing what settings you are using, it is a little tricky... but you could put the camera back to factory settings or go with the setting I use (which are pretty much stock...

BitRate = High
Shutter = Auto
EV Comp = 0
White Balance = Auto
Iso Min = 100
Iso Max = 1600
Sharpness = Medium
Colour = Vibrant

And then adjust to get the full look you want.

By the looks of it, I'd say it's either fixed shutter speed or brightnes compensation issue.

I had my Hero 8 Black do that suddenly out of nowhere. It shot fine in the shade and when the sun hit it, it washed out.

I had changed nothing before shooting and wondered if it was something in the environment that caused the camera to glitch. I have not been back to that place and have not had it happen again.

Any big electrical nearby or military sites?

I'm just baffled as to what's causing that bright light. It reminds me of that thing from my youth. What was it now... The sun?

Yeah, it definitely looks to me like an EV Comp setting issue. Unless you've got fixed shutter speed or ISO, that is.

If you just exited a tunnel or overpass, that'll happen as the GoPro adjusts its sensitivity, and should go away within a second or so.

I agree with @HippoDrone - reset to factory, or at least check your ProTune settings as he suggested.

Just an idea. You can salvage the video by adding some crackling to the audio and title it something like - THE MOTOVLOG THE GOVERNMENT DOESN'T WANT YOU TO SEE. I FOUND THEIR SECRET.

Heck, even do a voice over and record some riding background sound. Then remix it to make like you are on the way to film something when there was a flash and now you are just trying to get home.
