Stockpile Vlogs Or No?

I'm a little curious as to what other motovloggers do when it comes to their footage. Do you record a bunch of motovlogs ahead of time and then release them on a weekly schedule, or do you just put up motovlogs as you film them?
 
I have a feeling it is a bit of both. I figure they try to do a weekly video to keep things fresh but have a few stockpiled for times where life gets busy or the weather isn't cooperating. Thats what I plan on doing anyway!
 
I plan to have a stockpile of videos...but it doesn't really happen, lol. I usually just upload them as I get time to record
 
I prefer keeping things current. I dunno why, but I always change my mind about a video if I record it too far in advance.
 
I have done, and I like to have one or two as a buffer rather than a stockpile but ive been so busy recently that I've got one unfinished in the edit and two that are still in "the repository" waiting to be edited.
 
I do - I also have a month of scheduled content... just in case something happens. With the buffer I can choose to only use the cream of the crop stuff.
 
I used to try and do a weekly upload but finding the time is impossible. It is now when I got time with folders of raw footage carefully labeled on my computer waiting to be edited.

Where is my gimp when I need him!
 
I upload as it happens. Which is why some weeks I upload two-three and some weeks none. Just me though.
 
I've had a backlog of vlogs in the past, which was great while I had dry spells of what to talk about.
Unfortunately, my dry spell has overtaken my backlog... and then I had mic issues, so my recorded sound for [when I did do something] sucked, and I had to bin those.
 
I have 11 ready to drop! It helps for when I have vloggers block or have a shit week or just can't get around to it!
 
I still have a video or 2 that I could publish but I haven't even produced them yet. I'd like to have a couple in rotation and actually loaded up in YouTube. That way when I'm not around the house, I could just make a video Public from Private.
 
If I feel something good has happened or if I have made a good vlog, I'm buzzing to get it up so I do the work. If not, I know it wasn't good enough so it gets binned and I wait for the next one. I ride all year round so stuff happens and I don;t have an issue with no vlogs for a few weeks then a boatload

I don't know why I didn't think of that *facepalm*. I have a couple extra videos right now I should upload them and then just publish them when I'm ready for them to be live instead of just letting them sit on my computer.
 
I've got quite a few I could put up if I ever felt I was having a dry spell, riding 40mins to and from work everyday I find I always have something to talk about.
 
Nope, no stockpile. Thought of it, decided against it. Prefer to keep it "fresh". Since I've set no schedule, I'm not pressured to make any if I don't feel like there's anything worth talking about at the moment.

Tried doing pre-recorded ones to post at a later time, but just felt it was like cheating in a way (to myself).

To stockpile or not, as long as you're happy with either method, just go with it. :)
 
Provided that your videos in going up in order, else using the private -> public would not make that video show up as the latest one, try using schedule instead.
 
Been mentioned before, but it can be worthwhile scheduling a video to upload now but release in at least a few hours. This way it lets YT encode all resolutions so people who watch it immediately can see it in HD rather than 480p. I do it with all mine.
