I run a Triumph "OFF ROAD" exhaust on my 955i which being not legal for road use and with an impending MOT I thought it best to buy a used standard road legal can. As it turned out the bike passed the MOT as was which has left me with my standard end can to play with, SO... plan B in my mind was to drill it out and remove the baffle and to play around with the sound of the bike. Im aware of the power issues and risks with it etc but Im gonna have some fun. Ill vlog it as much as poss and will only use the finished article for local messing around and general hooliganism. Its a 2 bolt job to swap the cans ;)

Ive included some pics as it is now, any advice or comments on this project are welcome. Any experience of removing stock baffles most welcome, ive never done this before :D

NOTE: The baffle seems to be at the front of the can near the pipe not the rear opening :(
I want to keep the end piece threaded mounting points on the baffle wall to re-attach the end piece.

Exhaust mod update:

I removed the Triumph after market can I usually run in order to offer up the recently bought from ebay standard triumph can. It fits, 2 bolts and a couple of washers... VERY easy to swap as I had hoped.

The standard can is REALLY quiet, its more of the Triumph whine you can hear than the RIP Im used too. Ideal starting place for drilling it out until I reach the desired noise.

HOW EVER.....
I ran the bike for a bit with NO can and well, HOLY SH*T!! Loud is an understatement! Regardless of how how awesome it sounded, it was loud and aggressive and and and, it was IMMENSE! I was however a tad scared, I flicked the throttle to about 2.5k and my eardrum popped! Which leads me to the conclusion I may NOT want to entirely gut out the standard can removing the baffle and all insides. I think it prudent to maybe drill a few holes in the baffle wall first to see, lol. Im recording clips as I go to compile a vlog on the process :D

Take it one step at a time. Harder to go back after drilling a hole.

At least you have a pipe to run with when you need to.
