Still too cold to ride

Hey all, just popped in to say hello. I've got some new ideas for upcoming vlogs but it's just been way too cold to ride and do the filming. About 0 Celsius usually with high winds and rain/snow for the past week. Im picking up all kinds of new subs and would like to give them something to watch. Here's hoping mother nature cooperates soon!

Man, I feel you on that ... I can ride in cold, but not cold & wet, and definitely not liking the winds here.

Gives me more time to catch up on editing existing footage though, so there's a silver lining.

I too, am glad you're getting subs ... must be your Braveheart moment!

I would guess he has something in his video that would upset the government of one of those countries, against their rules.

But I will admit, Im already getting a complaint in my comment section about using music... again. I don't get it, why do viewers hate music so much? There was less than 1 minute of music in an 11 minute video! And I thought it was a very cool song!

The trouble with using music is that if you use music someone doesn't like, they will then in turn not like the video.
As a side note, I do wonder if YT will take viewtime into consideration on videos that have copywritten music in them when assessing if a channel is suitable for monetisation?

Viewers don't like music? I bet if you don't put music, you would get complaints that it wasn't there. I know everyone tries to do what "viewers" would like. I still think everyone should do what "they themself" like and hope for like minded viewers :-)

Here in Edmonton it's been cold as well, now the weather is changing and I am headed to work for a week in the bush. Hopefully when I get back I can capture some video. I have been lacking in the posting aspect. Time to get my ass in gear. New Logo coming soon as well.

Amen to that! I try to find songs I like that fit the mood of the video, and slap 'em on there, @HippoDrone be damned ;)

I don't do music throughout my videos any more though, only to emphasize something or fill in where there's just engine noise.

About the music, seriously, if you watch your analytics, most viewers skip ahead or drop as soon as the music starts. I still want to do my videos in my own style, but if I want to maintain views and keep getting subs, I have to be careful not to overdo it with too much music. People just don't want to sit and watch the road while listening to music unless they are the ones doing it. Regardless, if I like the song and find it to be fitting to the scene, I'm still going to use it. I suppose this topic deserves a thread of its own!

@Dewey316 gets more watch time DURING his music sections than his talking sections ... he's the outlier.
