Sprocket Cleaning

Does anyone have any recommendations on whats best to get the grubbiness out of sprockets without damaging them?

I ask as i have a few sprockets im looking to sell on as i no longer own that particular bike and they're just taking up space.. Still in pretty good nick, they're renthals.

I know its not relevant... but i put the sprockets on gumtree. And someone tried scamming me for £250! Saying they sent £400 or some shit but paypal are holding it. And that i need to go to a Moneygram store and send the money to Nigeria to release the money they sent. - Yeaaah, nice try. Give em credit for the fake paypal email though. It looked so genuine it made me look up fraud on paypals website. - be careful out there guys
