Sound Quality Over 65 Mph (105 Km/h)

i usually just put the mic way into the helmet that way it won't pick up a lot of noise.

My smh10 and Gp10 bluetooth unit have all around quiet audio, it unfortunately doesn't engine noise up well, but it does a good job of cancelling wind.

Im using wind protection self made out of paint buffering pads purchased for few bucks in to wash and polish the bike, was meant to be temp solution but because foam was so dense ended up being great solution without single wind noise problem ever.

Eventually I'm going to go that route, I think. My to do list are

1. Better computer, mine can't handle rendering anything over 720x30 and it still takes 1-2 hours. I bought it in 2008 and it wasn't the top machine even then.
2. GoPro 3 or 4 for main cam, then I'll use my drift as a 2nd cam to get alternate view and engine sound.
3. Better audio equipment, probably the Sena stuff.
4. Upgrade to current version of Vegas. I still have to use Vegas 10 because of issue #1.

All in all you have to play with it, add sound deadening, move the mic, try different angles e/t/c. Every helmet is different as is every one's face.

I agree. You have to play around with it. I have the drift ghost and mic. Sometimes it works fine but other times not so much

I had a drift with a mic in one of my vids. Noise was hardly there at those speeds. Much more noticable with the new GoPro setup.

I changed my mic placement today. I hope it does the trick and I don't have to throw away any good vids.

My limit with the visor open is also 65. Haven't tried it with the visor down yet because it's too damn hot here in Texas.

I'm trying out a new mic tomorrow. I ordered some of the cheap ass ebay mics that bXd swears by. Hopefully it will work out OK for me as well. if not, it's back to the drawing board.

I tested my setup out yesterday at highway speeds. Got it up to 110mph and could still hear my audio fine wind noise wasn't bad at all. I didn't post the test or anything it was just for me.

I actually put the mic inside the cheek pad I had to make a tiny slit and positioned it furthest I could toward the front close to my mouth. Blocks out wind super well. Just add a couple stitches to the slit or some tape and you're good to go.

Vlogging at speed was important to me since I want to vlog on trips starting probably next spring and will be on highways often.

I like the idea of the gopro+sena combo but hate the idea of relying on keeping both parts charged I always charge cam or have backup batteries but never remember to charge the sena since I don't use it much.

It's his position in the helmet that makes it work so well rather than the mic itself.
