Sony Action Cam with side mount

If you're going to get a Sony Actioncam, get the new AS100v. My only gripe is that it doesn't allow gain adjustment. Otherwise, it's sealed (unlike previous models) so rain isn't really a concern and the skeleton frame works perfectly with industrial strength dual lock fasteners (hardcore velcro). I've tested mine well over 100mph and it hasn't moved a bit. I've also got the wrist band with live view that lets you start/stop recording and change settings on the fly. Really nice setup. Best of all, two batteries gets me over six hours of footage in 1080p.

Guess what I got for my birthday?

HDRAS100v! I am going to do a comparison between my old as15 and the new as100. That pro mode... It looks not sharp at all, but then you compare it with the old camera and it's night and day.

Anyone else in SoCal wanna meet up to do a set of reviews? Compare my AS100v to your earlier model. We can take turns following each other through canyons and run through various settings. Otherwise, I'm planning to do a review of my setup, using Corel VideoStudio X7 Ultimate to edit footage.

Not a comparison yet... but there is some dual cam action in here... AS100 on my head, and AS15 on the rear bumper. I posted it in the video section, but since it is relevant to the thread I put it in here!

Note that I did use some color correction in this one as I think in both cameras they blow up the colors a bit too much, so I got to tone it down. My comparison will not have any of the color correction when I get around to making it (hopefully the coming weekend, or perhaps the weekend after that).

Man that car sounds mean!

Thanks! And it's the stock exhaust! Actually, the entire car is 100% bone stock...

Naturally with a microphone next to any exhaust it's probably going to sound a bit louder than it would from a drive-by shot! I got plans, but... priorities! I'd want to get on 2 wheels before I do anything to the stang for sure.

Ya I have the AS-10 and I modified the casing because I wanted to keep most of the protection from lens scratches and dust/mud seeing as I rode off road with it.
