Smiles per mile

Done over 300 miles this weekend with my girlfriend on her Bandit.

Both over 20 years old, not the fastest bikes on the road (any more), they are both worth next to nothing. But in terms of smiles per mile? Priceless....

I love riding a 125 ocasionally, there is definitley something fun and engaging about thrashing a little engine just to get up to 55-60mph!

I have a 125 promised to me, I hope to grab it soon, but with a duff wrist, the push home will be no fun, so delaying till I'm not being such a wuss

Yeah a 600 at 100% is much more fun than a litre bike at 60%.

The main problem I have with small capacity bike is not the engine size but the physical size of the bike.
I'm about 6 foot tall and 100kg.

Where I ride you wouldn't be able to get 60% out of a 600. I'm around the same height and weight as you and yeah if I spend all day on a 125 its cramped. But for short rides in the city or small country lanes you don't notice it at all.
