Don't wannabe
As some of you know, there have been couple of times, when forum members have maintained a map, of (more or less) active motovloggers. This is a nice visual, to find people in your area or area of your interest (like for travelling).
Previously google maps and zeemaps were used. Over time the maps have seized to be updated and/or even to be accessible. I have my own ideas how such a map could be kept and maintained, without too much moderator input required and still keep it quite up to date. I figured out that openstreet also allows custom markers to be placed on the map, similarly like google, but for free.
To my understanding, the forum owners do not wish this to be a part of this, so it would be a completely separate page, but aimed for people from this forum. Some thoughts I have had so far, about it:

Positive:
There would be a map again, which can attract some new viewers
Your input on what kind of info to show there, can be taken in to account, via this thread
Aim is to make it as automatic as I can think of, so it would keep itself up to date

Could go either way:
As it is not part of this forum, it will be publicly visible (and joinable) for anyone, who manages to find the site and can not be restricted only to users of this forum.

Negative:
For reducing the possibility of fake entries and for adding an expiration function, with renewal possibility, a valid e-mail would need to be provided during registration.
If something happens to me, there will be no one who could just take over the data and continue. When my server subscription expires, the site will be down and data gone, similarly to what has happened previously.

Even though not many people have decided to give their vote, I only see positive votes so far, so I fiddled around with php a little and I kind of have a test version working.
So maybe it would be good, to start a discussion on what kind of social media links should I let people add?
Youtube seems quite obvious. Maybe Vimeo too? I have heard some people use instagram. What else is there?

Been busy with work and missed the poll, but it could be fun to be able to see MV'ers close by and link up.
