Should I Post Anything Else?

So if anyone has seen my other thread regarding the problems im having with my Bike, it will be a month or two before i can get vlogging on it again

My question is, should i start making other videos in the mean time? ive got my action camera, my normal camera (DSLR thingy) and my phone...

I dont know what it would be, probably updates on the bike, day to day stuff, maybe a car vlog... but is it something worth doing to start getting a few people back to watching my videos?

It's your channel dude. if you're going to start posting bike related rather than just on the bike, do it before your channel grows and get people used to it

Get a sticker collection going and dona sticker board vlog.

A bike repair vlog and updates would probably go down well and keep getting views long term as others search for problems with their bike, just keep it as one job per video and name it appropriately to help people find it in the future.

I would say yes you should do something, car vlogs is a good idea. From what I have seen going missing/not posting for a week or two can kill a channels viewer count. I have not experienced this myself, but have seen it happen to some of my most favorite YouTubers...

Don't post just for the sake of posting, if you feel what you are going to or planning to post will be relevant to your goals for your channel then go ahead and do it.

Some subscribers (not all) subscribe for the simple reason that they want to see the relevant video(s) about what you claimed on your channel, but suddenly start seeing video feeds of yours on their YT homepage that are not of their interest, sooner or later they'll find it annoying or feel like it's spam and just un-sub.

Yes, some posters will use title tags to differentiate but the video will still show up in the subbed video feed and the subscriber will have to sift through the feed for what they want to see, that takes effort and some aren't happy to do it, and end up un-sub.

A simple example (for myself) would be like Comedy Central channel. I only want to watch a certain program/show and most of the others are utter rubbish (to me), so I subbed at first, and found it tedious to have to sift through all the garbage ones just to find the one that I really wanted to view. In the end I just un-sub and decided if I wanted to view, then I'll just go to the channel and search for the new video.

Of course they (CC) won't miss my one subscription. :)

from a viewers point of view I don't mind watching different things on channels, but if most of your previous vids are bike stuff keep it bike related 'mostly' cause to be honest i also enjoy watching off the bike stuff ...to mix it up a bit is a good thing

Other people will like "other" stuff.. And some won't.. I guess? My opinion: Make other videos and tell them about the bike problems, shows you are still putting effort into it, subscribers will like that..

Well i uploaded a quick speed art for a new banner concept for my channel. i have recorded a quick walk around of my bike but need to get it on my laptop and uploaded :) Thanks for the replies guys!

Upload what you want, alot of subs like to see off the bike things. I believe alot of subs like the person not the bike...but that's just my opinion.

You've been far too busy posting on here instead of getting your bike fixed haven't you?! ;)
