Sena Prism Question

mykb93

Do the math!
IF anyone on here uses a Sena Prism, can you let me know what you have your audio settings set to? I cant figure out the damn thing. I just spent the last hour and half talking to myself but making great video. I turned the internal mic off and thought I was just using the bluetooth from my sena smh10r but that didn't work.

thanks.

Internal mic gain high.
Bluetooth audio on.
Ultra HD audio on.
Internal mic auto mute on.

You can watch any of my recent vlogs to hear how this sounds. Note: I do have a vent directly in front of my mic, so I probably get more wind noise than most.

The internal mic gain only comes into play if you do not have your Sena intercom on and connected to the Prism. Once your intercom is on, with the settings above, the Prism will automatically mute the internal mic. I find the internal mic gain high and intercom OFF is useful when I'm doing narration in a quiet place (like a walkaround of the bike or a how to video).

Hope that helps!

Edit: Don't mean to state the obvious, but make sure you have paired your SMH10R with your Prism.

I'm not sure if the Prism has a direct 3.5mm jack for a lapel or lavalier microphone. But if I were you, i'd just use one of those instead. Bluetoothing the audio from another device just adds interference and makes your voice so hard to hear.

I'd also avoid getting omnidirectional mics as well. Directional works best. Sure, you don't get to hear the engine noise as much, but I can hear the vlogger speaking more clearly.

Hate watching motovloggers that record and their voice is drowned out by the echo of the helmet AND the roar of their engines.

There's no external mic input on the Prism. It's Bluetooth only.

I use the prism tube, not sure if i can modify the audio or any settings actually, but the external mic it uses has worked pretty good
