Sena 10C Anyone?

Hey guys,

So i normally run a GOPRO on the bike, accompanied by a Sena Prism Tube on the helmet. As I run a business and cause it's winter I've been quite busy with work, and even when trying to VLOG I need to answer phone-calls etc. and what not and having a bluetooth headset as well as the camera makes everything quite bulky.

So I decided to pick up a Sena 10C, I actually ended up purchasing one second hand for dirt cheap ($200). Hasn't arrived yet though.. What are your thoughts on it? I've done the research on YouTube and it seems quite positive.

When I originally decided to open a YouTube channel and what not, it did occur to me as it was a great idea to have a 2-in-1 setup but I just assumed, oh the quality would be crap, or there would be some down-side to having a device that does multiple things with such simplicity.. like most devices having one-device that does one-sole task usually ends up functioning much better. But yeah anyway enough babbling...

Guys.. is anyone running this set up? if yes... opinions, if not why? Have you tried.. ???
Talk to me!

FYI.
I did attempt a search but came up empty handed.

I believe YouTuber Officer Rob used one back when he motovlogged before and after his motorcycle patrol shift. That was a couple years ago so that may be someone to check.

Also, I think Bacon's Broken Bits used one but I recall battery life was an issue when we dual vlogged long ago.

My good buddy has been running a 10C for the past 2 years. He just replaced it with a Sony cam for stabilization. He also complains that his older sena 20S had more features. Overall I think the 10C video quality was just okay, the audio was good.

Yeah mine has arrived, and wow it's so much better than I had expected. I may even try a VLOG with it.

I would say the battery could be better - if you use on a pc and take data off the SD card, it doesn’t charge.

I’m getting maybe an hour charge on the cam

Bluetooth alone is about forever charge

I have been known to run a USB lead ito the 10C and stick a 10,000mAH battery pack on the other end. That way, you can just keep on keeping on...

I have a 10C and like it.
Been using it since about October of 2015.

The audio can be horrible but there is a software update fix. The thing is it's not easy to update. You have to go through SENA's website with the 10C plugged in etc. It's actually ridiculous.

However I did get though it and it did update.
Sound is better now.

My battery lasts for quite a while. I never measured it but I am sure it's more than 40 minutes.

My thing just died in the ass, it doesn't last 5 minutes now. I ordered a new battery gonna put that in. I was really happy for the time i've used it :) Haven't really VLOGGEd with it though, but the mic actually seems quite excellent. Updating seemed quite smooth to me? but maybe mine already had a significant update.
