Scripted or improv?

Hardly consider myself experienced but I will tend to pre-plan a topic and then just roll with it. That formula seems to work best for me.

Frankly as long as you're having fun, people will typically enjoy watching it.

Exactly. The viewers feel the energy that you have. I tend to be a little on the jumpy side, so my friends tell me that my vlogs leave them feeling a bit more awake :P

I like to have a general topic in mind before i head out, but i've only been doing this for a few weeks.

I'd have thought planning rather than a script. I'll let you know when I get my mic and try it out :)

Great topic! I've always wondered how some of the vlogs seem soo seamless and fluid. I guess you have to have some sense of conversation rhythm. I've always been the one ready to reply vs start the conversation. Will work on that. :)

Swings and roundabouts I guess. Usually I have an idea of what I want to talk about and I often do retakes because I get cheesed off with how many times I say 'errrrrr'. Usually when I feel like making a vlog up on the spot, I never have my damn cam with me anyway, sods law :p

haha ive noticed i say UHMMM way to much lol

Mine's mostly improv reacting to something on the road, or I will have a rough idea of what I want to talk about and just wing it.

The only time I've written a script is when I went back and did a commentary over some footage. Ended up writing a full script for that so it timed up to the video properly, took bloody ages.

Ive slipped more into planning mode again. Its a little easier, but still am getting some vlogs just plop into my lap
