I like the retro styling of the older ones however a few young lads around my area have newer scoots with straight pipes!!

I have a Yamaha Tricity (yes it has three wheels!!) and it suits me well for commuting.

It's my first bike and I've been really pleased with it. I've even managed some medium distance (50mile+) rides on it with ease.

Being honest I am not a scooter fan, but that being said I am prejudice as I have never ridden one. They have their place and uses.

They're essentially the same as an MC, but the big difference is the twist and go freedom, more cargo space, great gas millage and insurance. Given that the come in three styles - Classic, Sport and Maxi there's a size and type for nearly every rider. I recently took a 8 day road trip from Philadelphia to the Cabot Trail in Nova Scotia and my bike performed as well as any Cruiser, Touring or Dual-sport.
