Looking to get some input on how I can improve my videos. I know this style of video isn't what most of you are doing but as of right now I don't have any mic setup i can use so my videos have no talking on them. Also i don't usually like to use music, just the sound of the bike and the road, but that could change depending on what people like. I mainly make these videos just for the fun of doing it. I don't have much video editing experience and I'm sure it shows haha

Anyway, I don't expect anyone to watch the whole thing, its 16 mins, but anything is appreciated!

I'll take any input positive or otherwise haha
Thanks for watching!

I am in the same boat as you in a lot of ways. Not a lot of video production but tons of audio. Anyways, I did a video like yours, just riding on scenic roads. I wanted to keep the sound in it, but I did not like the wind noise. So it was music instead for me. I think you have a decent camera angle. It's not always easy. I think it can work with great footage and the right tunes. That's just me.

thanks for the input man! i've considered using music but i'm leery of youtube's licensing rules as far as that goes if i ever decide to monetize my account. i like watching scenic rides set to tunes but i always kinda wanna hear the engine too. i'm thinking about doing a remote mic somewhere that picks up good exhaust tones and not too much wind noise and see how that works. then maybe one inside the helmet and start babbling about nonsense lol

anyway i appreciate the comment and thanks for checking it out

That's why I write my own. I have written for other people on here too. Problem solved!

I think you should get a mic setup and narrate your ride. People want to hear your thoughts when riding. Anyone can just film themselves riding, we want to hear the unique perspective that is winski357. You are one of a kind and we want to see that. Otherwise you're just another motorcyclist on the road. I hope that is helpful.

honestly, that's very helpful. Thank you for just coming out and saying it haha. That's kinda how I feel about it too when watching other peoples videos. I'll start looking into some entry level mic setups that will plug into my gopro and give it a shot!

That's a good idea too. I could always start with some of the common prompts other motovloggers are using like '10 things i love about my bike' or things like that and see how it goes. Thanks!
