I got a video up from our weekends ride. Used google earth to plot my kml file (recorded with "my tracks" app). Had a great day!

I will have to talk with you more about using that app with the maps, I like it!

So, it's a phone app that allows you to save a KML file which can then be added straight to the video editor can it?

almost. The kml file can be added straight to google earth. Then record the google earth track with some capture software like Camstudio.
