Robust Selfie Stick?

I imagine anyone asking about selfie sticks might be flamed for being so silly...

But I do fancy an occasional selfie shot. So what's out there that can safely take the weight of a VIRB? I'd like something - if such a thing exists - that can use a RAM B 1" ball.

A regular monopod makes for a sturdy selfie stick. At least it does for me. Bonus: you get a monopod as well. Less shake.

Details or pics of RAM contraption? How did you go about it?

I need this to be telescoping - I want to be able to take it on bike trips.

LOL, I don't use it on open public roads with heavy traffic, just reserved for certain spots for that different PoV only. Anyway I think OP just wanted to see the monopod and RAM setup.
