Rightster - Argh Go Away Will You!

So a couple of years ago. I made a video that went near viral, It was of a chap reversing up the a1 (motorway to the non-UK people),

I was contacted by Rightster who wanted a piece of the action. They wanted me to sign a contract that basically allowed them to take 40% of my you tube earnings. In return they own copyright and can use the footage of that and any other video I make blah blah - I refused as to me, it looked like they can do what they want with the videos but I only get payment for whats on my own channel (since deleted), not the other sites they use the videos on... So I said nah!

Anyway, its since been about 2 years and I still get emailed from them lol! 2 years of saying take me off your marketing lists lol! 2 bloody years!!!!!

Thieves. Definitely would not have been a good deal to do. I had a video that MTV bought rights to use on the Pranked TV series. But it was just the rights to use it for that one episode, not to scam me of all my content lol. Rightster mustn't be real smart about scamming, you think they would of made it sound real good and do the opposite, not blatantly say what the scam is lol.

Why don't you just block their e-mail?

Exactly - only works when they use the same emails etc! It's more annoying when you request the email to be removed ad they reply to basically say, no

What domain are they using? If they are using their own commercial domain e.g @rightster.com , just block the entire domain from sending you any mail. Tougher luck if they used GMail or other public providers though.

I was contacted twice as well, but I just glanced over it and ignored it in it's entirety.

Are they a UK company? I believe they have to abide by requests to be taken off mailing lists.

Perhaps filter by title/subject containing what they always use, ie "Rightster" keyword, and block/send to spam for that.
