Requesting help from you Motovloggers!

I'm in!
Ill make it like this (to give others ideas):
1) Ill start by saying something along the lines of "oh so you are in hawaii..... you don't have the monopoly on beautifull vistas.. here's how it looks from the other side of the world) *cue starting to ride*
2) now, for your 20th BDay on the 20 april, I shall say happy birthday.... 20 times!
3) Happy Birthday, Faith! Happy Birthday, Faith! Happy Birthday, Faith! Happy Birthday, Faith! Happy Birthday, Faith! Happy Birthday, Faith! .......
4) After that, a little link to my "riding simulation" vids. :D
 
I'd think individual Vids or a group of riding mates would be cool!!... Half a dozen lads/lasses all yelling "happy birthday!!!!!" With some riding footage too...

I think I have to do a solo one though..... Not enough mates local! :rolleyes::oops:

Is anyone here tech savvy enough and has a bike that can do similar with a laptop hooked into it?


Not knocking the manual throttle version at all!!! I think it's a great idea!! .. Just wondering the possibilities overall?
 
Yeah, that would be awesome, who has that kind of kit though?

With my KLR650 it would be pretty tough anyway, carbs are not that responsive... you would probably have better luck on a bike with injection that is sensitive on the throttle.

You would need to have some VERY low level access to the engine management system. The software in those for production vehicles is incredibly locked down for obvious reasons.

I would love to do something but the bike in now in the garage having the carbs rebalanced so unsure if I'd manage to get it done in time. Someone say hi for me.

I'll still experiment with it on my mighty powerhouse!!!! Gs500 ;) .. Hand throttle style...

I dunno about low level access though.... Mate of mine has a cable for his laptop to hook into his car computer ... Aussie Holden Ecotec V6.... He self tunes for experiment running on the drag track 'Wednesday night warriors' kinda thing... He can tell the laptop to hold the engine at different revs too.... Don't know how much of a sequence is possible ?? ...

The cable is the hardest bit... There are a fair few program's available online for Engine management ...

Of course if you are trying to modify the mapping or playing with it like that it may certainly affect warranty in the manufacturers view....

But yes ... Unless someone already has tried it and some of the kit ... I doubt it would happen in time though....:(
