Hi Guys,

Just wanted to know if anyone else uses Sony Movie Studio Platinum 12 and also uses a Drift HD, I am having problems of rending with my editing program (Movie Studio Platinum 12). My raw footage comes out fine from my Camera (Drift HD) but when i am editing the video and render it, it comes out all shaky and jerky through the frames. Just wondering if anyone could help me out on this topic?

Example of the shaky quality: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c4LsJsYQtZA

Thank you

I had the same problem when I first tried rendering videos, not in the same programme though.

Had to dick around with the rendering format and frame rate I think to fix it.

Probably best taking a small section of your video and try rendering it in different formats and rates to see if it fixes it. At least it'll be quick with a small subsection. Sorry I can't be more help.

Hey mate :)

Just thought of something to try.

when you have a clip in the timeline, right click on it, go to switches and click disable resample.

try render that and see if it helps :)

@Yarek, Thanks for your reply man , yeah i have been juggling between formats, but i can only try again and it cannot get worst ha ha

@YourPalsChrisAndAl, Yeah man, i have been suggested to do that by another vloger and it didn't work, i will try it again with a recent vid. Thanks though :)

Just curious, what is your CPU/RAM load while rendering? On board video card or aftermarket?
Did the problem happen after a software update or Windows update? Possibly try a restore point if using Windows.

@Chris033081, Thanks for the post :), My CPU runs between 40-70% while rendering 8mins+ videos and ram stays at around 2gb. My Video card is nvidia gtx570.

I have heard from sony, the problem is within the Software and it will be rectified in the software update for Movie Studio 12 and Sony Vegas 12. In the mean time i need to run my footage through Handbrake and then edit it through MS12.

Thanks guys for the replies, I might leave this thread up for those who may also come across the same problem :)
