Hey guys,

I have the Drift HD Ghost and I've bought a helmet especially for vlogging.
(I use a modular for normal riding and a full face when vlogging)

I want to take the adhesive pad off of my Modular helmet.
Can anyone advise on a good way to do this?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

just leave it and it'll fall off lol j/k :P

Hair dryer will get it off, but if you want to re-use the adhesive pad on the new helmet then you may need superglue or epoxy

Yep, Hair dryer. I didnt believe it till i tried it myself and it works a treat.
You can buy a roll of 3M adhesive tape to re-stick the pads (thats what the drift comes with)

Never put superglue on a lid dude it weakens the casing unlike 3m

A hairdryer but if you get that horrible tacky stick sh*t left get some brake and clutch cleaner on it. That can remove anything safely and cleanly

Used a hairdryer to take off one of the GoPro mounts and it worked great, even managed to re-use the mount with replacing the adhesive.

FYI Brake cleaner is amazing stuff! We use it in college to clean pretty much everything!

If you have trouble getting it off, use fishing line or floss. Use the hair dryer, and 'cut' the adhesive by dragging the fishing line/floss across.

Dunno if I'd use brake cleaner or anything else like that on a helmet to get the gunk off, there are less harsh chemicals not likely to deteriorate the helmet. Like 'goo gone' for example. Or even just take a rag and hot soapy water and rub it really good for a few minutes, it'll all ball up and fall off.
