Rear Caliper Mounting Touching Disc?!

Soo the RS has been pretty faithful to me the last week or two, a few people know i replaced my chain & sprockets a few months back and after doing so your supposed to adjust your chain again...

Well i went to do it yesterday and adjusted it, this morning i went outside just to get something and decided to move the bike, pushed it forwards and it made a horrible screeching touching sound. Couldn't figure out why it was like it.
So i loosened the nuts off and re tightened them while holding the mounting back and it just pulled forwards towards the disc.
Tried slackening the chain etc but it still kept pulling towards.

Someone mentioned it may possibly be the wheel alignment so we've been playing with that but it's still not doing anything, we're doing even torque on each side taking it in turns little by little.

Any suggestions?!

Cheers! : )

As Mike has said check your pads for wear, also check the disk's they could be warped.

Or check the caliper the pistons may need a clean.

Because the bike has been stood for quite some time & not been run the pistons may have seized.

With adjusting the chain, you need to account for tightening the rear wheel.

If it says 25-30mm play, make sure the play in the chain is pushed completely forward, make sure theres around 35mm of play & re-tighten & it should take up the slack you've accounted for.

I'll go check these, i'll let you know once done : )

Brakes are fine, I've decided just to take the back wheel off and strip everything down and re-build it. Got everything apart and cleaned. Going to start putting it back together later or tomorrow morning : )

I don't know about the RS, but some bikes I've had you had to adjust the actual rear caliper holder so it changed the angle of the caliper, thus preventing the brake disc touching as you moved the rear wheel back (as it does when you adjust the chain).

Hope that makes sense?!

Otherwise my bet would be sticking caliper piston.
