Question for CBR Riders

When I took my bike to the shop, I decided to look around at the sales section and came across a 2006 CBR 600RR. It was a nice bike but I was amazed on how small it was (or perhaps I am just used to my big bike). I got on it and although I felt comfortable on it in terms of riding position, however, I felt like I may have been too big for it. Is that normal feeling for someone when sitting on those for the first time?

(and I am about 5'10"-11")

My girlfriend has a 99 plate CBR and if the predecessors are similar, I found it quite small. Rode it into work tonight actually and it feels quite different to my SV650. I think it's just a different riding position that you'd soon get used to. I feel like I'm on top of the bike as it were, rather than part of it. Nice bike though, lovely engine and a lot more planted than my SV.

All I can say is that when I had my CBR (01) I could flat foot it fine. I am your height and the bike fit me well. Likewise with the R6. The bikes have only gotten smaller as the years have moved on so I think you will be fine. I'm always amazed how big bikes can look when you walk around them, but once you are on they feel tiny.

I have an 07...I'm 6'4''. I've never really thought about it being too small. I think it's quite comfortable. but i've only ridden a 00 R6 and this so my view may be skewed.

I saw one in a shop the other day, compared to my Fazer they do look quite small, but they're a beauty to sit on (haven't been let loose on one yet :P )

The seat height and ride height is a little lower than something such as the R6 but overall once your used to the riding position and the way it feels beneath you, it feels natural. Then the fun begins! :)
