Psychology Of Riding.

Its a study by the Australian government. My tax dollars paid for it. No good can come from it, we have a very backwards government when it comes to motorcycles.

Yes we now have some decent filtering laws in most states, but it was never illegal, just not clear, and we can now wear EU approved helmets, even if local business can't sell them.

But we also seen the introduction of anti association laws in some states, meaning you can be targeted for riding in a group of 2 or more. Yes its in place to combat outlaw bikie crime, but there have been instances of it going to far. About 12 months ago a tattoo artist was put out of business because he did most of the work for a outlaw bike club. He did not even own a motorcycle or hold a licence. However he was no longer allowed to associate with people from that club who were the core of his business.

There is a perfect example of whats going on over here. K'm traveled V's car. The report says motorcycles travel 0.07% of the time on our roads compared to cars. Yet my registration is the same as my cars.

I will have a good read of this when I get some time, but it will more than likely just leave me shaking my head.

It's actually interesting though from what I've read so far, seems to just be a study about the effects of bike users. It's been proven before that we're generally less stressed and such too.

How can anyone feel stressed on the bike. The quote "Four wheels move the body, two wheels move the soul" didn't just fall from the skies. :)

Sorry I am late to the party on this - There's a thing in the news about this over here, one of our soldiers who was apparently highly respected and looked after prime ministers etc while he was in Iraq, moved to Perth and because he's associated with a 'motorcycle club' and even though he has committed no crime, he is now sitting in a high security jail in Perth

When i first heard that, i was like wtf, how backwards.

Stupid aussies and your laws.

Can you imagine Chris and Al being done for being a bike gang? The only people they're dangerous to is themselves :)
