Problem With Mic "please Help"

I have a GoPro 4 silver and im running it on a chin mount with a Movo GM100 Lavalier Lapel mic. I am having troube with the audio in rides. The sound of the bike gets extremely choppy while my voice is constant. I think its the wind so i put duck tape over my front vent to completely isolate wind from getting in the mic but still having problems.

Helmet is a Bell Vortex its a $200 helmet

Placement is everything. Where do you have it at? Also, if GoPro has some audio settings (I don't know because I don't have one) maybe play around with those a bit.

ive moved it all around from being right in front to behind the padding. and i didnt see any adio settings but will check further. A friend suggested getting a larger fuzzy piece going to try that

you need a wind sock thingy, that big fuzzy piece.

Probably cutting out the background because its "too loud"
