You can use the arms to bring it to the front, my Bell Carbon is pointy on the front so I had to do this to chin mount. PS Sugru is your friend to hold the mounting plate on.Personally I would prefer chin mount but I have an RJay Carbon Fibre flip helmet. I chose the right side for recording oncoming traffic. I may change my preference when I upgrade helmets.
I keep it on the left just because I can turn it on and still have my right hand on the throttle.Pro’s & Con’s of Left Or Right Helmet Camera Mount
Open to recommendations on which side to mount a action camera on a helmet for my country that drives on the left-hand side of the road (ie UK, Aust, NZ and 10% of the world) and what is different to countries that drive right-hand side of the road (ie USA and 90% of the world)?
LEFT
- when overtaking, better view of “cager” (ie hot driver / face expressions of driver)
RIGHT
- when being overtaken by irate “cager” (ie road rage )

Uhm no? For motovlogging at least, where the mic is of course inside the helmetSide mounted = wind drag at high speeds (unless Drift type/shaped camera)
Wind drag on the side mounted camera like GoPro, can't ride fast comfortably.Uhm no? For motovlogging at least, where the mic is of course inside the helmet
Oh... my bad, I thought you said wind noise.Wind drag on the side mounted camera like GoPro, can't ride fast comfortably.
Never had a GoPro, but I've topped my bike out with the AS-15 on the left side and couldn't even tell it was there. I see what you mean with the GoPro being square and all. Gonna have to check the new ones out to see how small they really are.Wind drag on the side mounted camera like GoPro, can't ride fast comfortably.
