Poor old thing...

Weirdo, mosher, freak

First time its been cleaned in 2 years.... poor thing, and its a long story. Basically it has been sitting in the shed for that long waiting to be registered.

And yes its in ugly mSVA configuration, hence the grotty exhaust and big mirrors. The last picture shows what it actually looks like with the finished exhaust etc on it.

Built from the ground up from a rolling frame supplied by Briz at CCD, it has an XB9R engine which was originally designed for a Bonneville race bike but we had a change of plans, so it ended up in this. 49mm dyna forks, slab yokes, 1 off frame, Blackbird front wheel, modified sportster tank etc. Basically pretty much all custom done in my shed.

Its a tribute to Sophie Lancaster and I finished the bike in 2017 (last picture) in time for the 10th Anniversary of her death and then for a multitude of reasons, mostly personal circumstances, I never had chance to SVA it.

Then I had an SVA booked for 25th March which got cancelled due to CV19. I have only just been able to rebook, so i am hopeful that it will finally be on the road, 5 years after starting the project and 3 years after finishing the build.

Knowing my luck something else will stop it happening!

A motovlog episode or 2 will happen about this and the bike eventually!

Love the tank graphics hahaha

It's some of the Sophie Lancaster Foundation graphics, as is the one below on the rear mudguard. Wouldn't really says it's funny.

The bike is called Black Rose. BBC did a documentary a few years back, now on the BBC Teach Youtube channel, ep 1 is below - I think there are 4 in total.

I'll be dealing with the issues around this bike, why I built it and how it all came about in a motovlog at some point in the future. But needless to say, the reason I did it is pretty personal, and it could have easily been me in her position.

The haha was for the "Weirdo Mosher freak." That I find amusing. Made me smile at least.

Then sadly, I fear you have missed the point
Probably... Wouldn't be the first time. Sorry then!

Just googled it. Now I understand. We can't all know everything sadly so forgive me ignorance

From someone who was bullied It still brings a smile to my face even though it's such a sad incident. The smile now comes from you taking the opportunity to make a statement and use your bike perhaps as a Beacon against those that can't understand or accept something that's different.
