Playlists

I was talking to a buddy of mine who does tech videos on youtube. and he was saying since I have different series (motovlogs, Jeep Discussions and mincraft) I should add them into different play lists so that the older videos are eaiser to view and it's easier to find the videos you want on my channel.

He also said the playlists equal more views.


Just curious if you guys and girls think this is true? I'm testing it out

Playlists will help those coming to your channel if you keep stuff ordered, wont help people necessarily find you. I guess it's more a retention tool.

I have playlists for different regions I vlog in but I don't think it's anywhere near as important as your friend makes out.

I imagine a lot of people are like me and subscribe to channels, which means all your videos come into my subscription playlist regardless of what playlist you put them in.

For this reason consistency in your videos is really important, because if I find a motovlogger is filling my stream with off topic videos I get rid of that subscription. If you have very different content create a separate channel like all the bigger YouTubers do.
