PC editing software for multi pic

Hi guys. Some advice please.
I do my editing in FCP on a Mac and recently did a multi screen in screen video that a mate is now trying to do on a pc. Only problem is the software he uses Is basIc and can't do pic in pic. Its not complex from my pov but uses a layers. Simple as.

What apps do you guys use that can do this on pc please?

Im a big fan of Adobe Premier and if you know photshop etc and basic timeline editing its easy to pick up.

Lightworks is a pretty powerful tool.

Adobe After Effects is probably the best, but its not that easy to use.. Sony Vegas maybe?

Sony Vegas and Adobe Premier Pro are both powerful editing tools that'll do the job.

I use Sony Vegas (not pro) although you're restricted to about 10 video feeds within a feed.
