General Our First Motovlog - My New 2021 Harley & Intro

Congratulations fellas.

Curious if you plan on using com units so that you can be on the same page while riding/vlogging?

My one suggestion would be to get an external mic for those moments when not riding the bikes such as your beginning segment. A good shotgun mic will pic you up way better or record secondary audio with 2 lav mics and a dedicate4d recorder such as a zoom.

Appreciate that Lone Wolfer, I had a snoop around your channel earlier too and you got some quality vids!

Yeah we use the Sena 10S for comms and whilst the quality is decent in terms of clarity, the range is a bit disappointing.

Yes I think am going to get a zoom / tascam audio recorder for off the bike footage, just need to make sure I can get one that supports 2 mic input or dual mic input etc.

Appreciate your feedback and advice!

Depending on what you're using to record off-bike stuff, you may want to go with a dual-channel wireless mic setup, something like a Rode Wireless Go 2. At least, I think that's what it's called. 2 mics, one receiver, plugs into your camera. I am considering buying one of these for my off-bike stuff since the mics on the GoPro Hero 9 in the Media Mod is directional and I'm always moving the camera around [thus, the volume goes up and down].

Yeah I had seen these (thanks for that) but I could be more tempted to buy an external audio recorder like a Tascam or zoom, fit with stereo breakout cable for whenever it is the two of us, and then at least we have an external audio recorder as well incase I want better audio for on-the-bike footage (down the line). Rode set up is 3x the price.

Thanks

Yeah, they are expensive, which is probably the #1 reason I haven't bought one yet.

I don't like cables dangling, so I'd go straight for wireless. I saw some reviews on the Rode wireless setup and it was good. On Amazon, there's a half-price competitor, but I forget the name now. Those reviews weren't as good.
