Sometimes it is nice that people don't think you are female, especially at the bank. Lots of my ramblings about current projects and stuff.

It would be interesting to lane split, but since it is frowned upon here and not necessarily legal I don't do it. Love my Duke so far, almost 300 miles on it now

It's frowned upon here, too, but I do it anyway. Only when traffic is stopped, though. My reasoning is that bikes have to move to stay cool and I'd rather risk getting in trouble than overheat and break down. Plus, like Lurch mentioned before, the cops are going to have to work to follow me through stopped traffic, if they decide to pull me over.

I just don't like the the idea of angry people in big trucks thinking they own the road and trying (or at least not caring) to run you over. People get jealous you are getting ahead of them in traffic. I talk to people at work (dealership) about motorcycle/lane splitting and they are all against it. Even a guy I work with said he wishes a motorcycle would run into his truck breaking the law lane splitting. He'd just like to open his door and ruin your day.

I'm not worried about cops catching me doing lane splitting necessarily, it is the aftermath if a wreck happens and you are technically breaking the law so you already don't have anything on your side. If it wasn't such a gray area I might try. If I ride more my mindset might change, as it is I can wait in traffic and not tempt fate the few times I get stuck.

Jet skis are some of the oddest things with an engine I've fallen in love with. Hard to get the adrenaline rush and smaller danger factor out of any other motorsport.
