You named an R1 Edwina.... Lol .. Ok fair enough! .. I did name my little GS500 to start with ... But now it's 'my bike' .... Or sometimes 'I'm going for a ride on MY bike woman! .. No I am not going clothes shopping!!' hahahha

And yes .. Think it's just janx101 so far ... It may evolve into "Uncle Janxy's HTFU life lessons" at some point ... But I gotta have time at work to sort that out ... I'm the boss at work so no big drama there ... But lots of things grab my time eh..

Edwina's the name of my mates mum.. now I get to give 'Edwina' a well deserved thrashing every now and then. She's a dirty dirty girl ... lol
Just checked out your vid... I was on the edge of my seat at 0.24. The camera makes it look a lot more tame than it actually was.... scary stuff but you held that line very well considering your rear wheel was in Narnia. Definitely a huge pucker moment!!

cheers .. dont want to hijack your thread ... but i will say this.... real fast flash of memory during part of the wobble... "dont target lock on the gutter and grass" ... geez it was an effort .. but i dragged my eyes away from my direction of travel ... to the yellow striped lines at edge of gutter... then REALLY hard to drag eyes out into the centre of lane again... but as i did the eye move .. and half remembered to hold the bars 'loose' and not get a death grip ... the bike stabilised and i could lean it/countersteer away from the 'bad area' ... i claim absolutely no inherent skill from the save!! .. more luck than anything .. and info that i had only recently been reading on a bike forum and thinking about ..

a picture may say a thousand words... but sometimes a thousand words (that give you the right info) can save your family from having a memorial picture on their wall!! .. i dont think that the moment would have ended as a fatal .. but you cant guess that really .. over to the left of the grass is a rusty chainlink fence .. then a railway line... with old pieces of track and sleepers piled up .. all sorts of nasties to hit..

dont beat myself up about it or lose sleep .. now i know how easy it is to get into a tankslapper!! .. very valuable learning experience!!

You're spot on Janx... thats the first thing I thought of when you became sketchy! "This bloke is really looking through the corner"! Absolutelly the right thing to do, and thats also adding to your experience.... i've only ever gone wide in a corner at high speed and luckily there was runnoff otherwise I would have been cactus! I've had to force look through the corner countless times however and Edwina and I have come out on top... So far. The force is strong with you ! Ride safe my man!
