Noob Question About Youtube Channel Setup

I have a personal account/channel on YT( 2 videos!) but need to set up a YT channel for my rides. Question: Should I get a new gmail account and use that to set up a new channel? Or can I use my existing yt account and set up a new channel with that? I DO NOT want them to intermingle. Can you tell Im a total noob?! Any tutorials you could link to?

Create a new G+ page and give that it's own YT channel

Create a new gmail account is the best way to do it. Youtube and gmail handle multiple account very well.

People above have the best answer, I just used my personal one, but change my name in Gmail, etc.

Got it set up... but have to do so through Google+...??? GRRRR!
