So I had my first night ride last night.

I can honestly say it's not that intimidating. The lights around me make me aware of where people are as well as adjusted mirrors. Also cruised on the highway for the first time which was pretty fun.

I love riding a night, its very relaxing. I live a good ways from town and its DARK out here at night, its pretty cool to pull over and turn the bike off...its silent.

Ride away from civilization and see if you like it. I see a bunch of animals when I ride at night. I choose not to take chances with the deer. They win!

night rides aren't that bad when you get used to them. I prefer staying in city areas though. too many deer and bears around here that like to pop out in front of you. it's easy to target fixate on headlights too. once you get past that, it's super nice though!

Riding at night is fine with me, and like wolfxandxcrow says "night rides aren't that bad when you get used to them. I prefer staying in city areas though. too many deer and bears around here that like to pop out in front of you. it's easy to target fixate on headlights too. once you get past that, it's super nice though!", however for me, it is not as much bears as it is deer that you have to look out for, as well as stupid drivers who like to get in the lane you are in.

I know what you mean, although it's not deer I need to keep an eye out for, it's the suicidal kangaroos to be careful of. They tend to pop out just after dark so your eyes haven't fully adjusted or the bounce into you at OMFG!!! IT'S EARLY (yes that is a real measurement of time) and you are still waking up.
