Next step in dispute...

Ok, so I tried music in my video... got a license from Freeplay from a song published by Freeplay... got flagged by a couple of companies for the music, and I started a stupid dispute with the license. Rumblefish has rejected my dispute and I'm waiting to hear from the other... but since I never have really done this before, what's the next step??? I've read that if I take down the video before hearing from the other, I most likely will get a copyright strike... so, can I just let things hang or after 30 days, will the video be removed with a strike :o ??? I'm really confused since YouTube/Google doesn't really explain things well. I've sent Rumblefish an email, but.....

Who has experience with this :p ??? Help, please >< !!!

Thanks much in advance :) !

Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeelp!

Never mind, crisis adverted, I think... just had a panic attack for half a day about getting a strike :p . The one place was kind enough to get back to be and said that everything's kind'a groovy, so that's where it's at for now :o .

The world of copyrighting on the internet... what ever happened to VHS & cassettes ;) (when you could copy :p )??!

just copy and paste the link or copy of your license for use, youtube should enable it quickly after that

Ah, good tip, thanks :) ! Yeah, I had PDF license instead of a link... I sent it to them but they still claimed it :( ... something about making money off of the track but I ~think~ they won't take my video down - the person I got ahold of was pretty nice about it :) .

Now I just need to hear from the other company who claims it... seriously >< !!! Money, money, money - it's all about money for the poor ($$$) artists ~_~ .....

Exactly that. You won't win if it's not your property to monetise
I never monetized it in the beginning... it was just YouTube's "oh, we recognize this!" copyright system. Makes me wonder what the point in giving out licenses for use is good for in the first place. Probably somewhere in the fine print, it says "Someone has the right to monetize your video and make money off of your video since you used our music in your video." What a bunch of BS >:( ! If I tried to monetize it, then I can understand... but just having a clip in it? What ever happened to fair use :o ??!

I'm not monetized and got the warning for an artist who puts his stuff out freely. I now make an effort to use royalty free music that won't get the warning

I've been wanting to make a music vid or something like that, but i dont exactly because of that lol..just cant be bothered having problems. it would be so much easier if i knew how to make my own music lol
