What editing software would you all recommend for a complete newcomer. All I've used in the past is windows movie maker!

I use Sony Vegas Pro. It's fairly user friendly and there are a lot of YouTube tutorials out there.

If you get the current version, which is 13 i think, it's about $300 but I got the older version and it's only $38!

1991, it's still compatible with Windows 3.0! Just kidding.I have Windows 8.1 and it works just fine.

It depends on what you want it to do, your budget and your aptitude. Assuming you're fluent enough with WMM for your needs, you should be able to step up to anything really. Plenty of tutorials on YouTube, just search How to do X in (program) and take your pick. The more advanced ones mean you can do face and plate blurring more easily.

Ummm... Multiple layers for extra cams, troll faces, graphics, text effects etc etc
