New Yamaha 3 Cylinder Engine

I read somewhere that one of the reasons Yamaha wanted Rossi back from ducati was to be their very own MotoGP R&D guy. Maybe that R&D Rossi will be doing on the track will be done with an I3 under him.

If only Ducati had an R&D guy like Rossi! I can't imagine Yamaha developing a triple for MotoGP though.
