Wouldn't you rather get an old (2006)ish R6 or older CBR or Gixxer just because of dropping. Don't get my wrong I don't think or want you to crash but it's pretty enevitable tbh.

(most will agree)

Just I know a mate who had fully comp and had a brand new 2011 Rs 125 3weeks later he crashed (No cars or bikes involved) just on a stretch of road and they priced up for a right side to be fixed. Fairing, nose cone, mirror, indicators, brake levers, brake pistons, basicly the whole right side, they said £1300 brand new fitted. yet he could replace them himself for £900, so the moral of the story is.

Do you want to risk cailming of your insurance becasue it's so expensive to repair thus losing NCB or do you want a bike that paying a little less you can afford to purchase cheaper fairings ? there won't be many 2011 GSXR fairings out there I'd be surprised if they kept the old style fitments aswell.

Just think hard about splashing £7K + on a "Beginner Bike"
